Gem Candles started in 2011 making candles with their own unique blend of earth ingredients that allows the product to be applied safely to the body.

The blend has a soy base which keeps the ingredients in a more solid state for it to be used as a candle. Once the “wax” is applied to the body it will begin to be absorbed to moisturize the skin and can also be used as a massage oil.

Although all candles contain a wick, the solid blend can be applied to the body cold as a body balm and your natural body temperature will warm and melt the balm so it will absorb into the skin. In simple terms, our product is similar to a cream that you would rub into your skin to moisturize, although it produced as a candle instead of other forms of containers.

While all of our ‘candles’ can be used on the body, our signature Jewellery Candle is only the large candle. This is the only product that contains jewellery delicately embedded in the wax for an added depth of adventure and fun with your candle.

Since Gem Candles started the range has expanded into another product designed by Gem Candles called Atmosphere Enhancers which are a triple scented cold [does not require or used with any heat] product that does not contain any wicks. This product does not contain jewellery and is not body safe. A recent addition to the Gem Candle range is also the introduction to triple scented melts for people who like a product to be used with heat and is made for use with an oil burner either tea light or electric. Both of these products are not ‘candles’ although they are still vegan and keep within the company’s desire to keep environmentally friendly.

All Gem Candle products are hand poured with care. Products may have slight imperfections because everything we do is by hand from sticking labels on the outside of tins or boxes, sticking wicks in place for candles through to the packaging process of each individual product and the detail to ensuring your delivery is also packed to keep your order as safe as we can for it to reach you.
